Michael Redd never was supposed to attain superstar status when he was a Columbus City League player, a member of the once-lowly Ohio State basketball program or even after he was selected with the 43rd pick of the 2000 NBA draft. However, someone apparently forgot to tell that to the 6-6 lefty, who was named yesterday as one of 12 members of the prestigious 2008 Summer Olympic men's basketball team.
