This year's Under Armour All-American game will feature several of America's very best high school football players, some of them headed to Ohio State. Check out this feature for more information, including a look at who will be participating.

Rosters have been updated for the second annual Under Armour All-American Game, and Buckeye fans will be able to get a glimpse of some of this year's top Ohio State football commitments players in action against the nation's top prospects.

The game features 80 of the nation's top players, selected by scouting gurus Scouts, Inc. Five players are Ohio State verbal commitments -- cornerback C.J. Barnett of Clayton (Oh.) Northmont High School; running back Jamaal Berry of Miami (Fla.) Palmetto High School.; wide receiver Duron Carter of Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas High School; defensive lineman Melvin Fellows of Garfield Heights (Oh.) High School; and center Jack Mewhort of Toledo (Oh.) St. John's High School. Also playing in the game are two uncommitted players still considering Ohio State -- defensive lineman Corey Adams and wide receiver Marlon Brown of Memphis (Tenn.) Harding Academy.

Jamaal Berry will be among five OSU verbals participating in this year's game

The players will be split up between the White, coached by former Buffalo Bills head coach Marv Levy, and the Black, coached by former Oakland Raiders head coach Mike White. Adams, Barnett, and Brown have been placed on the White team, while Berry, Carter, Fellows, and Mewhort will play for the Black squad.

The chance to receive coaching from such well-known individuals is one of the game's most unique aspects.

"It has been our goal all along to provide a rare and exciting experience for these young student/athletes that cannot be duplicated anywhere else or from any other all-star game, and it starts with our head coaches and coordinators." writes Tom Luginbill of Scouts, Inc. "The Scouts Inc. staff and others putting this game on have spent considerable time in the coaching and scouting profession, so we had the ability to bring in quality coaches with vast experience as both leaders and teachers at the highest level. And what better way to prepare the Under Armour All-Americans for college than to have them interact and learn from some of the NFL's best?"

Also among the selections are the top two overall prospects in ESPN.com's Top 150: quarterback/athlete Russell Shepard of Houston (Texas) Cypress Ridge (LSU verbal) and quarterback Matt Barkley of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei (USC verbal). Shepard will suit up for the Black team while Barkley will be among the quarterbacks on the white team.

I really hate supporting ESPN's game but I really want to see Berry, Barnett, Adams, Brown, and Fellows play. I liked the idea of that 1 top notch game where the best of the best play like it used to be with the aa game. Now its just 2 very good games. Whatever, both will be fun to watch.
hopefully these guys can work on adams and brown a little bit while they are together...maybe a little friendly call from TP as well
How long before this game is bigger deal than Army AA game ?
Has anyone heard about Tahj Boyd? I hear there is heavy interest from both parties.
It already is bigger, Unfortunately. the ESPn name is outdrawing the AA game. Someone better get on it, or it will end up a historical memory. They need a "community organizer" to promote it! :)
The ESPN folks have more money, more "wow" appeal, are in a better place (Orlando vs. San Antonio when the Riverwalk is drained), and have an entire network to promote/air their product. In an 'end around' move the AA game folks (Sportslink) is now doing a game in Hawaii (12/13) Maybe a different locale would spice up their game a little eh?
I hope the ARMY/gov't does more to promote the AA game to compete with the NAZI promotion of ESPN.....More I watch of ESPN the more I dont like ESPN....WHEN will FOX or another network take on this sports giant?
