I checked out the Cincinnati Colerain vs. Hamilton game last night and was treated to a nice comeback by Colerain but also a saw a ton of Division I talent on display. Every time I looked down at the roster to see who was making the play it was another college prospect.

gracejarrett_storyI counted 8-16 possible Division I prospects on the field. The player that intrigued me the most was Colerain junior MLB Jarrett Grace, No. 44. Grace holds a 4.0 GPA and has already received an offer from the Cincinnati Bearcats. Its been reported that OSU has already been into check on him but as of now Ohio State has not offered.

Grace moves around very well at LB right now and sticks out on the field like a sore thumb because of his 6-4 frame. He looks as if he might be on his may to 6-5-plus and could even be able to play defensive end in college if needed.

Jarrett Grace was not the only prospect to watch last night. Here is the breakdown of the other college talent on hand.

Hamilton Senior
Darius Gilbert DE (6-3, 264) ( MAC offers)

Hamilton Juniors
Devin Jarrett RB (5-11, 216)
Chaz Veal DB (5-10, 165)
Brian Cleckley ATH (6-1,164)
Kenny Lewis WR (5-11, 160)
Aaron Greer OT (6-6, 295)

Hamilton Sophomores
Breon Boyd DT (6-4, 295)
Adam Pankey OT (6-4, 288)

Colerain Seniors
Tyon Dixon LB (5-11, 185) (Louisville)
JoVanta Harrison DB (5-10, 175)
Greg Tabar QB (6-1, 185)

Colerain Juniors
Tyler Williams RB (5-7, 150)
Chris Dukes DB (5-9, 160)
Trayion Durham RB (6-0, 200)
Jarret Grace LB (6-4, 210)
Andrew Smith LB (6-1, 185)

Steve Mehrer from Dublin Jerome holds a handful of Mid-American Conference offers and one Big Ten offer from Indiana. After watching his just-released senior year highlights of the first three games, Mehrer's stock is on the rise.

Mehrer played MLB last season and has since transitioned to the secondary. His hitting ability from the safety spot is featured in the first four plays of his video as he destroys the ball carrier coming down hill like a freight train. Mehrer also takes some snaps at tailback to showcase his speed. Look for Mehrer to add multiple offers during his senior season.
