Fresh off landing a commitment earlier today from offensive lineman Chris Carter Jr., from Cleveland (Ohio) John F. Kennedy, the Bucks have also landed Antonio Underwood from Shaker Heights, Ohio.

“I went down to Ohio State today with my grandfather,” Underwood said. “Coach (Jim) Tressel offered me (a scholarship) in his office and I made a verbal commitment.”

The 6-foot-3 and 300-pound Underwood played guard and tackle during his sophomore season. He played tackle his junior season.

“Coach Bollman said there are no limits, but most likely it will be interior line,” Underwood said.

Underwood also had offers from Toledo, Akron, Kent State and Miami of Ohio.

When asked why he selected the Buckeyes, Underwood said, “I couldn’t see myself playing anywhere else. It’s close to home and I really like the campus. It’s the place that fitted me best.”

With Underwood and Carter in the fold the Ohio State staff is building its base of offensive line commitments. They can then later in the recruiting process focus on a select few very high profile guys to fill out their offensive line haul for 2011. Look for the Bucks to sign at least five offensive linemen for 2011.

Kurelic’s Comment: With Carter and Underwood in, the next guy likely to commit is Brian Bobek from Illinois.
