However, running back Roderick Smith (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Harding) has already played the first game of his senior season. Smith got things started with a bang as the nation's No. 7 running back in the Scouts Inc., rankings rushed for 279 yards on 30 carries in leading his team to a 26-21 victory over Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Wayne. Smith averaged 9.3 yards per carry and scored four times in the win.
Another future Buckeye, defensive end/linebacker David Durham (Charlotte, N.C./Christian), helped lead his team to a 36-6 victory over Charlotte Carolina Pride last Friday.
Durham and his teammates have this weekend off, but a number of the Buckeyes’ other commitments will spring into action. Here is a preview.
