Plantation, Fla., safety Jeremy Cash continues to add to his scholarship offer list. That list includes Ohio State. Bucknuts.com has the latest from this talented prospect.
If you have been tuned to Bucknuts.com you probably know that Plantation, Fla., junior safety Jeremy Cash is a candidate to commit to the Buckeyes, and perhaps sooner rather than later.
Cash has scholarship offers from Ohio State, Miami, Florida State, North Carolina, Tennessee, and most recently South Carolina and South Florida.
“Everyone is a contender,” Cash said. “I still want to commit sometime soon.”
When asked when sometime soon might be, Cash said, “Maybe March.”
However, Cash also would not rule out the possibility of making a decision yet this month.
Cash has been to Ohio State twice in the past half year. He attended one of the Buckeyes’ football camp sessions in June as well as the Ohio State-USC game on Sept. 12. He came away very impressed both times and has made no secret of his strong interest in the Buckeyes.
Ohio State assistant Luke Fickell is recruiting Cash.
“He came down in January,” Cash said. “Me being a junior, he couldn’t talk to me so it was more of a hi and bye type thing. He talked to my coach.”
The 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Cash played linebacker during his sophomore season. He played both safety and linebacker during his junior season and made over 100 tackles and intercepted two passes.
The Buckeyes are recruiting Cash as a safety.
Kurelic’s Comment: The Buckeyes are off to a great start recruiting the state of Ohio with commitments from defensive ends Kenny Hayes (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer) and Steve Miller (Canton, Ohio/McKinley). They would love to go out-of-state and add one of the top prospects in the talent rich state of Florida in Cash. I continue to like their chances.
