The following is a chart detailing how many scholarship players are on the team and what classes they belong to. You can use this chart as a reference to figure out how many scholarships are available in any given recruiting class.Updated 2/11/09

NOTE: As of the latest update, all redshirts are speculative. An expected injury redshirt puts Tyler Moeller into the 2011 class and an expected redshirt puts Keith Wells into the 2012 class.

Analysis
When asking yourself how many scholarship spots are available in a class, look at the number of expected graduating players and then also take into account the open scholarships. That will give you a rough estimate. The NCAA prohibits a team from having more than 85 scholarship players on their roster once fall practice starts, so always take that fact into account when trying to figure out how many
We don't always know a real number of scholarship spots available as there's always the possibility that the staff may be aware of something that the public and media is not aware of, such as upcoming transfers and injury issues, and this may also slightly affect the amount of players OSU will sign in a class.
