We are kicking off a new feature called the “Bucknuts 15.”

These same 15 questions will be posed to various Ohio State athletes and we’ll pass on the answers to you. This feature piece is meant to have some fun and get to know the individual Buckeyes a little better on a personal level. We’ll attempt to publish one or two of these per week.

So, with no further ado, here is the maiden voyage of the Bucknuts 15, with sophomore center Mike Brewster captaining the ship.

  1. What is in your iPod or CD player right now? – “Actually nothing because I broke my iPod working out this summer and I’m in the process of getting a new one. When I’m just driving around town, I usually like to listen to country. Before games, I listen to some relaxing music like Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. I just like to relax and I can’t get over-pumped up or I will make mistakes. I learned that in high school.”
  2. Favorite TV shows? – “My favorite show used to be Lost until they just kept going on and on and getting weird. I watch Sportscenter a lot. I watch the Travel Channel and Food Network. I don’t really watch any TV shows that are scripted. I like to watch real-life TV.”
  3. Favorite movies? – “I like action moves or suspense movies. I just saw Public Enemies and that was pretty good. I’ll throw some scary movies in there and I just saw Orphan and it was pretty twisted at the end.”
  4. What internet sites do you have bookmarked? – “Well, of course Bucknuts.com (said with a laugh, so we’re not sure if he’s serious). What college kid doesn’t go on Facebook, I guess. At camp, I haven’t been on the computer. But I remember in high school, I used to check out all the recruiting sites all the time. But ever since then, I just use it mostly for school.”
  5. Favorite meal? – “My mom’s homemade lasagna for sure. Or her chicken parmesan.”
  6. What kind of car do you drive? – “A 2004 white Z-71 with some shiny wheels.”
  7. If you could own any car, what would it be? – “I’ve always said the first car I want to buy is a black 765 BMW with black rims and tinted out.”
  8. If you could go on a free vacation anywhere, where would it be? – “I’d probably go check out the Vatican and stuff. I’m Catholic and I’d definitely like to make the trip.”
  9. If you could go on a date with any woman, who would she be? – “Probably Megan Fox. I don’t know why. She’s kind of got this bad girl/good girl thing going on. Kind of like angel/devil. She’s kind of like a young Angelina Jolie, I guess.”
  10. Strangest encounter with an OSU fan? (Something they asked you to autograph, for example.) – “I’m thinking of one, but I’m not going to say it (laughing). … I pulled into a gas station once and my license plate says ‘BREWOSU’ and a guy followed me and eventually got out with a helmet and said, ‘Would you sign this?’ And I said, ‘Sure, no problem.’”
  11. Favorite OSU football tradition? – “There’s so many cool traditions here, so it’s hard to pick one. I guess the one that gives me goose bumps is when we go into the Skull Session before games. Every time I do that, it’s just the best feeling in the world.”
  12. If you weren’t playing college football right now, what would you be doing? – “I guess just being a normal college student.”
  13. Favorite pro sports teams and favorite pro athletes? – “I didn’t really grow up loving a pro sports team. But if I could go to any NFL team after my Ohio State days, I would love to go to the Dolphins in Miami. Go back to my home state and hang out and play pro football would be great. Hopefully I don’t go to Buffalo because I don’t think I can deal with that winter. … I don’t really have a favorite athlete that I can think of.”
  14. What was your first job? – “I did yard labor for a guy we knew. Cleaned his pool, washed his car, cut his grass, whatever work he needed done.”
  15. Hobbies? – “Besides working out and eating, I guess my favorite hobby would be sleeping. I try to sleep as much as I can.”
