Malcolm Jenkins was honored as the best defensive back in college football this season when he was awarded the Thorpe Award on Thursday. The Ohio State senior cornerback is just the second Buckeye to ever win the award, joining Antonie Winfield who captured it 10 years ago in 1998. Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis did not win the Bednarik Award on Thursday and is likely to get shut out of the major awards this year.
